This is the second time I’ve stayed here, love how it’s centrally located, super comfy bed and great bathtub!

Great and in the middle of everything! Will definitely return. The room was so nice!

It was super amazing will definitely be back here soon, the area is nice however if you don’t have a car everything’s about 10-15 mins by walking which honestly was not bad at all. Loved it will be back soon!

Great location, and the owner was responsive to my requests.

How desperate are you to stay in the town center?

If you REALLY want to stay in walking distance of Beacon restaurants/shops/bars and not fall back to the chain hotels in Fishkill, you can probably manage a night at the Beacon. Room itself is serviceable, not fancy, and reasonably appointed. [although the AC did squeal like a pig all night]. The entrance, hall, and stairs are total skid row, and as many reviews have noted it is not a hotel -- no services at all. And the price, at least on a mid-summer weekend - is simply unconscionable for the value received.

My partner and I had a lovely time. The accommodations were as advertised. The surrounding area was wonderful and would recommend this hotel.

No Staff

There is no staff on property and we were given codes. When we tried to get into our room there was another party there that luckily was able to reach out to rectify the situation, but led us feeling horrible for kicking out this other group. Then when we went to sleep the window AC was too small and the room was too hot to sleep in.

Excellent stay

My husband and I stayed enjoyed our stay at the Beacon Hotel. Our room was perfect, we loved the decor, the amenities and all the little things (cream, q-tips…) they left in the room in case you needed them. I would definitely recommend to others and we will definitely visit again.

Good stay. Great location. Not too far. Across the street is the Movie theater. Down the road is the river up the road are great coffee spots!

Be aware! This is really a short term rental masking itself as a hotel. If it was advertised as a short-term rental it would be fine, but the entrance along with the cigarette smoke is pretty disappointing. It is however in the heart of downtown Beacon. Weigh your options and read all the reviews.

Convenient, centrally located but uncomfy

The room was centrally located and pretty quiet at night. The microwave and fridge were great amenities to have especially since there's so many great restaurants in the area. The shower water pressure and bathroom stock was great. It was just a little uncomfortable from a climate control and toilet perspective The toilet was low flush / non-functional, and we had to watch a YouTube video to figure out how to fix / declog. The AC also was non-functional during the 70 degree day.

A creative adventure if you have no other option

The best thing about this place is that they accommodate a single night stay (other hotels have a two night minimum) and they are right on Main Street across from wonder bar which is great. It reminded me of when I was much younger and lived in a tiny studio apartment in the east village Less great things: The building you have to navigate through to find your room smells of cigarette smoke and restaurant kitchen odors My room was adjacent to the outdoor dining of a restaurant and it was super noisy There was no corkscrew available in the room so I had to run out and buy one The AC wouldn’t come on when I tried it

Misrepresented.

Misrepresented as a hotel. It was a room in a short term stay building. Smelled like smoke and was very hard to access. We actually left after dinner and went and stayed with our daughter. Didn’t feel comfortable there.

This more on an air b and b then hotel. The location is amazing since it is right on Main St. It was perfect for a place to crash during out brief getaway to Beacon and the price was right. No one on site, questions had to be emailed but the staff who responds is very nice.

Meh!

pros: great location, clean-enough room Cons: building is gross and smelly, 0 human interaction/service, bed is not comfortable
William, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The room itself was lovely: clean, nicely decorated, comfortable bed. Nice amenities: coffee and bottled water. The bathroom was very nice, with high quality fixtures. My only negative is that I didn't realize I'd be hauling my suitcase up three flights of stairs.

This is not a Hotel. There is no one on site, no lobby, no services. It is a collection of individually locked rooms in 3 story walk-up building. Loud window A/C unit, small double bed. Location was great.
Julia, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

It was an overall good stay. The condition of our room was not terrible, but there was a lot of weird quirks. The bathroom sink couldn't run for more than 5 seconds. A majority of the shelves were broken. And the Wifi was really bad so the Roku TV was pretty much useless. Also, there isn't anyone to talk to or any phone number if you have concerns. So good thing nothing bad happened. Message to management: clean/ fix the rooms. fix the wifi. fix the sink. and at least include a help number in the check-in email in case the visitors need it. Thanks!

If you have any mobility issues whatsoever, this cannot be the place for you. A very old building they are trying to make charming. They have a lot of work to do. Good for 20-25 year olds that need a place to crash.
Erin, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Definitely a don’t judge a book by its cover moment. Entry into the building and room had no issues, but it was not quite the vibes I was expecting. The minute I stepped into the room though all was good and looked exactly like the photos. Great location and the amenities suited my trip.

6/10 Good

Access from street was bad. Address was not clear from the entry and the same address in adjacent storefront. Then the access to the room through several poorly marked doors was confusing. Once I got to the room all was OK for price range.

BEWARE

THERE IS NO STAFF OR ANYONE TO TALK TO THEY DO NOT PUBLISH A PHONE NUMBER WE HAD ISSUES THAT WERE NOT RESPONDED TOO
