The hotel staff were very helpful. The location is spot on. I would have liked to see a small coffee machine in the room though.

Location was excellent with easy access to many sites and different metro lines. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was very good with lots of options and also very friendly staff. Only negative was that it was easy to hear street noise from the room but that wouldn’t stop me from staying at this hotel again or recommending it to friends.

8/10 Very good

We had a great stay at Hotel Ateneo. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Madrid and walking distance to everything. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, comfortable, and a solid value for the area. Being so central, there’s a bit of street noise at times, but nothing unexpected for Puerta del Sol. Overall, a very good stay and a hotel we’d happily return to.
