my parents had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Florence, just steps away from the Duomo — the location couldn’t be better! The rooms are surprisingly spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile. And the cappuccino at breakfast was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Firenze.

Hotel is clean and well maintained The room was orderly and functional. Location is a plus for me In Europe 2nd floor really means 4 flights of stairs so be prepared to pull your luggage quite a ways.

Great location

Staff were really friendly and check in was smooth. Details were sent on how to find the property which was a bit complicated only thing missing was that you needed to ring doorbell before you got keys ( we worked it out) Really central for Florence, great restaurants nearby. Downside 4 flights of stone steps and no lift also shared toilet and the shower is literally a cubicle in corner of room

Beautiful Firenze.

Great old property and the staff were wonderful. The location was superb, walking distance to central Firenze. You could see the Duomo lit up at night from our window! My only criticism is that the air conditioning was not that affective in the building. But it is to be expected in these old buildings. Great hotel though, would highly recommend.

Great location! I didn’t realize this hotel did not have air conditioning so I was sweaty for my entire stay and I also didn’t notice that in their description, they clearly mentioned no lift so I had to drag several pieces of luggage up four flights of stairs. We stayed 2 nights @ the Hotel Bavaria. I don't think we had the best room but we were fairly comfortable. There is no A/C, a fan was supplied but unfortunately the one we had did not work well & did stop working. The fan was replaced but it was noisy. Wifi worked well, bed was comfortable, lots of hangers in the closet, and there was a safe & kettle. No TV. Our room had a sink & shower, toilet was down the hall. There were 2 communal bathroom and both were clean & well presented. There was never any coffee in the communal breakfast room, just packages of instant coffee & sugar only. No fridge. The rooms in a historic building (16th century?) so it was like staying in a castle and that was pretty awesome. Climbing up the stairs was brutal even though we were prepared for that. The location was perfect, short distance to the heart of Florence If ever in Florence again, would be happy to stay here again.

O hotel é super bem localizado! Está a 2 minutos de distância do Duomo e é de fácil acesso. O atendimento foi excelente. O quarto era ótimo e mesmo o uso do banheiro compartilhado foi uma experiência tranquila. Quem está trazendo malas grandes, só precisa ter atenção pois o hotel é no segundo andar e não tem elevador.

Two negative points were the amount of stairs, hotel situated on 3rd floor with no lift and the bathroom was shared. However, the building is 500 yrs old and interior is beautiful. Staff very friendly and informative. As a solo female traveler I wanted to be in the city centre so the negatives were a trade off for safety and proximity to the city. I would defiantly stay again but maybe bring a smaller case :)

Nice hotel, with a few small drawbacks

Lovely hotel, in a good location. Only one bathroom on the floor i was on which made things awkward at times. There was often a loud noise from a boiler or something that was one room away from mine that woke me up during the night several times, but otherwise a good experience.

The location was the only redeeming part of this hotel. Our room has no air conditioning and the manager was unwilling to do anything about it. We took a reading one evening and it was 101.8F in our room. We decided to sit a bit in their reception area because they had a small AC unit there. While we were there the manager turned it off because he wanted to “save energy” whilst sitting in his office with an AC blasting. Don’t stay here.
