We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Eze Hermitage. The staff we very helpful and attentive, warm and friendly; speaking English when our French let us down. The room was lovely with a large balcony to take advantage of the sun most of the day.Filtered water always available, but we could have done with a small coffee machine in the room. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection for anyone. The whole place was very clean and tidy. The outside eating area led to the swimming pool which was a good size for swimming if you liked it on the cold side! As we were staying for a week wee could have done with a better meal selection; there was a limited bar menu. Generally though we could easily find a restaurant or cafe in the neighbouring towns/villages. The hotel location was also great for an hour walk in the Parc Naturel on the doorstep, and in easy drive of many places: from Nice, to Monaco. Although we found it best in the smaller towns like Beaulieu and Cap Ferrat. A car is a must for holidaying here and we would suggest a hybrid with a satnav for ease of driving. Beaches are limited and seem to be pebbly Cap Ferrat seems good with facilities at the port / harbour.

Charming hotel high above Eze with nice views, beautiful gardens and a national park nearby, great for walking. Room was very clean and cozy. We were on the third floor which was a bit of a hike (no elevator) but not that bad. The staff was great, very helpful and friendly.

This is a really nice hotel in a peaceful and beautiful location, bus access to the village or there’s easy parking at the hotel if you drive. The buffet breakfast was excellent and included a hot cooked to order eggs and bacon if you want it. Gardens and pool are very nice. Rooms are very clean and modern. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Loved our little balcony with great views of the mountains. Too bad the pool was too cold to swim in. Also, the bathrooms need to be improved. Mold around the shower area wasn't someting I expected.

Beautiful property and great service

The property is in a good location, a short drive away from Eze village and boasts gorgeous gardens and a pool. The room was comfortable and the balcony was spacious. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the breakfast. Only minus was the fact we kept getting mosquitoes (we assume from the vent) and had to kill 12 over one night which kept us up until midnight.

We had chosen this hotel based on it having a restaurant, as we knew it was a more remote location and would help us not having to drive to other areas to find one. When we arrived, we were told it had closed a month ago but no-one had communicated that to us. Luckily we had a car but it was annoying to have to drive to find somewhere to eat in the evening. The hotel itself is pleasant, very quiet and is a good base (if you have a car) for Eze village and nearby towns.

Our short 4 day stay at the Eze Hermitage was an enjoyable time. The staff were very helpful and managed to educate us on the super bus service that ran from just outside the hotel, whereby you can get to Èze Village, Nice & Monaco for €1.74 a trip using the Lignes D’Azur app and card system (thank you staff). The bus is essential for non car drivers as the hotel is someway out of town, on the edge of the beautiful national park(fabulous walks and views on the doorstep). The gardens of the hotel are beautifully planted and maintained and a pleasure to sit in, the swimming pool in the garden is also beautifully clean and well maintained albeit unheated. Our bedroom was small but comfortable and clean with a well appointed and clean bathroom. The only disappointment with the Hotel being that the restaurant has been closed down and no food could be purchased(other than breakfast). This made life a little awkward and a shame, especially as we had planned to eat at the restaurant, having read some good reviews about it. It would have been useful to know in advance from either the Hotel or Expedia that the restaurant was not available. Would we go back for another stay - almost definitely.
