We truly enjoyed our visit to Hotel Galileo! Great location and close to Stazione. Taxi service called from hotel is quick and efficient! Close Walk to Mercato Centrale & Galleria de Academia et al. Breakfast was worth paying for in advance or daily. Nice continental display. Bedroom enough size for two. Bathroom was very nice and roomy! Will go there again!

What a lovely little gem! We stayed here for one night, as we toured Italy as a family of 4. The hotel was close to the Firenze Santa Maria, an easy walk, even with luggage. Close by there were several places to eat, drink and buy essentials. The hotel was beautiful, very clean, spacious and well equipped. Frederica on reception was welcoming, friendly and very helpful. We would strongly recommend this hotel to any visitors to Florence, it is easy to find and surrounded by options. The hotel room was clean, beds comfortable, air con kept us nice and cool in the heat of Italy in August. Bathroom was beautiful, lots of helpful accessories provided. Only small downside was no kettle in the room, but plenty of places near by to buy hot drinks. Great stay, great hotel and lovely city.

The room was very nice, spacious and well maintained by staff with two exceptions: - the AC is centrally managed and the duct points directly at the heads of people in both beds at night. This results in the need to contact staff to turn down or completely off the AC at night for some (like my family had to do) - the double shower had a drain that would back up if both showers ran high volumes of water.

Check-in was smooth and welcoming, with very friendly reception staff, and the location is excellent - easy to access everything nearby. Unfortunately, the room itself was a letdown. It was extremely small, with a very uncomfortable bed, making it difficult to relax. While the bathroom was modern and visually appealing, it lacked basic practicality - there was no space to put a toiletry bag and not even a hook to hang towels or clothing. Overall, despite the great location and service, the room felt cramped and uncomfortable, which impacted the stay.
