We arrived a couple hours early and our room was ready - which was fantastic after a very long travel day. The room was small but very comfortable - we booked the mignon room and it was indeed. In the bathroom There is no door on the shower, so it’s hard not to make a mess when showering, it the towels are big and absorbent so you can easily clean up :) the water pressure was wonderful. Breakfast in the morning was great, nothing like a buttery croissant to start your day. Smoked salmon, baked breads, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, fresh juice among other things were available. The location was perfect, lots of restaurants and cafes close by. Eiffel Tower was 1 hr walk, notre dame 20 mins, louvre 15 mins. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was beautiful, elegant & quaint! It has everything you expect from a 5 star hotel. We reserved the hamman and started the day feeling refreshed. This hotel is romantic, but far from practical: there is no tv in the room, but the lightning in the room is far too weak for being able to read or do something else. Also is everything small (shower cabin, bath,…) and the positioning of the door handles is very low. The chairs in the breakfeast room might be very cosy to rest in, but again not practical for eating breakfast. The breakfest however was all you need and can expect (especially the quality of the pastries was excellent). The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location of this hotal is excellent for discovering, located in a quiet street.

This was our third time back at L’Hotel. The second time I stayed at the hotel I felt very under the weather after checkout and asked if there had anywhere for me to sit for a while until we were to leave for the flight. They gave me a free room for 5hrs to properly rest as well as free food and drink. Amazing service that they had no need to offer but did anyway. The hotel is in good shape, the rooms are small but well organised. The service is fantastic. The bar is open until late and their drinks are amazing. The private spa access included for 1hr per day is icing on the cake, after a long day exploring Paris it is very nice to finish everything off with the steam room and swim before taking a last drink for the evening. The breakfast is from a relatively small buffet, you can order more however items from the menu are not included. The food is all of great quality and the staff again are fantastic in every way. I’ve used the concierge services a few times and every time everything has been handled well and no comments at all. The area is beautiful, quiet on some streets with late night cafes nearby as well as active bars. You really do have everything especially considering the proximity to the Seine, Notre Dame etc. A unique hotel with fantastic service and a great place to recharge while travelling. Easily one of the best in Paris (best one I’ve stayed at anyway). I won’t go to Paris if I can’t stay there :)

Oscar Wilde Suite

I was so excited to stay in L'Hotel during our visit to Paris, and I was able to book the Oscar Wilde suite which was even more exciting. First, I must address the elephant in the room. I booked the room for 5 nights. 60 days before my arrival (10 months after my booking was confirmed) I received a notification from the hotel that they accidentally double booked the room for 2 of the nights and I will only be able to have the room for 3 nights. This put me in a terrible position as I now needed to book a new hotel with only 60 days notice in Paris during the Paralympics which meant rates were much much higher than 10 months prior when I made my original booking. Deep breaths. L'Hotel discounted my rate 20% which helped with the very high rate I paid elsewhere for the 2 nights. That being said, L'hotel is very Parisian, very beautiful. Only 20 rooms and it has an elegant boutique feel. The suite is GORGEOUS with a HUGE terrace. However, the musty smell in the room is so strong that it woke me up several times during the night. Yes, it's that strong. Also, the lighting is very dim. On-site hotel staff is extremely professional, and they helped us arrange taxis and restaurant bookings with ease. The cocktail lounge is lovely and a great spot to end the night. Location is perfect. Quiet street but very close to everything. It's very safe in the 6th and it's an artsy vibe.
