The situation of the Hotel is very good; situated in the great neighborhood called the "Monti"; close to Barberini, the Colosseum, the via Nazionale, etc. The principal person at check-in is a wise, friendly woman who takes great responsibility for the well-being of her guests.
The price is "right"; inexpensive, no-frills. The room I occupied was small but impeccably clean. There was an air-conditioning unit, which proved necessary.
In the mornings, and once in the evening, I found it hard to obtain, and keep, hot water in the shower--for more than 2-3 minutes. This is not because I didn't know the difference between "C" (caldo=hot) and "F" (freddo=cold) on the faucets. And it does not seem to be a problem with the number of shower-takers (I tried at different times of day).
Take away: the hotel is fine, clean, pleasant, well-situated. If you have a problem with water temperatures dropping suddenly as you are soaping yourself, report it. There may be something they can do.
