Hotel was lovely. Very authentic for a visit to Florence. Just a short walk away from all the major attractions in a quieter part of the city. Very close to the tram and the train station is in walking distant. The hotel was very clean and rooms are very spacious with air conditioning and windows to open. The staff are very welcoming and happy to help with any questions. Breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. Items were regularly topped up.

We had a very lovely stay at Hotel Giglio for 3 nights and when we arrived we were greeted welcomingly by one of the co-owners Roberto who was very useful as he told us how to work everything in the hotel and gave us a map of Florence highlighting where to go and not go. The room was very clean, and a cleaner came round every day to clean are room, which was lovely. The breakfast was also very nice and consistent, it was a very lovely way to start each morning. Also, when we stayed in Florence, there was a heatwave, so it was very useful that the air conditioning was on point.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Giglio in Florence from July 15–18, 2026, and we had a wonderful experience. It is a charming, intimate hotel where the owners, Marco and Manuela, are personally involved in taking care of their guests, which makes the stay feel especially welcoming. Their hospitality was outstanding. They were always available to help and provided excellent recommendations for transportation, restaurants, and places to visit, making it much easier for us to enjoy Florence and the surrounding area. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which was fresh and a great way to start each day. Another special touch we loved was the hotel’s collection of beautiful and impressive puzzles depicting famous works by Michelangelo. They add a unique artistic character to the hotel and are especially fitting for a stay in Florence. What stood out most, however, was the warm and personal attention we received from Marco and Manuela. Their genuine hospitality made us feel very comfortable and added considerably to our experience in Florence. We would happily stay at Hotel Giglio again on our next visit to Florence and would definitely recommend it to our family and friends.

We had a great stay at this hotel. It’s easily accessible by tram T2 (Cavour Station) from the airport (20 minutes) . Located in a building with impressively high ceilings, it is beautifully decorated and welcoming. It has everything you need: clean and well-equipped, nice shower, toiletries and towels, silent and modern climatisation, etc... Breakfast is really nice: savory and sweet options, homemade cakes, and fresh fruit cut right in front of us. Marco knows the city inside and out: in just 15 minutes after our arrival, he’d drawn us a map with the main sights highlighted, a recommended itinerary, and the best places to see and those to avoid : the best guide you can dream of ! In short, if we ever return to Florence, I’ll book here again right away. This is a faire and attractive price considering the location, the hospitality, and the service provided Marco and Manuela are the kind of people who make you feel right as if you were at home : you won’t want to leave them unless you’re coming back to see them very soon !

Stayed for 5 nights in May 2024 and had a wonderful time. The property owners are very kind and helpful. Rooms are basic but very comfortable and clean, the shower was terrific. Very easy to walk everywhere from here and at night it is very quiet. Always felt very safe and welcome at the Hotel. I highly recommend Hotel Giglio for a positive Florence experience.

Friendly and helpful owners who explained exactly where and when to go see the sights. Only a 20min saunter into the centre of Florence with air conditioning and a yummy breakfast! Only thing to note is not suitable for those that struggle with stairs as on the second floor.
