Firstly the positives. Staff were absolutely lovely - friendly, helpful and polite.
The hotel is in a great location, and is very pretty, not just your bog standard boring hotel.
Unfortunately, our ground floor room was like a fridge. The radiator got no warmer than just above body temperature, and the small shower room was seriously draughty and even colder than the room. The water from the shower was just over a trickle and nowhere near warm enough. Stepping out into the room was a horrible experience!
The breakfast was very over priced - £15 for 2 of the nastiest sausages (the type that are £5 for a hundred), awful dried shrivelled mushrooms, rock hard bacon and cheap beans with instant coffee.
The toast was ok though.
For £15 I expected far better.
