Right off the motorway - stop over.

Decent one night stay on our way to Barcelona. It is a lot nicer on the inside than what the outside and location looks like. Right off the motorway and within a light industrial area, which is fine. We didn’t use the pool, breakfast was great and rooms standard Novotel, which is good. People helpful and polite.

Spoilt by horrendous noise in the restaurant and in the bar, where it was impossible to leave as a huge group of Dutch people blocked the exit with their seats which they had arranged in a circle.

We booked due to previously good experiences with the Novotel brand. The hotel is excellent, there is a good pool, parking and loads of charging points for electric vehicles. The rooms are good. Our only problem was the service from the restaurant staff which slightly spoilt our stay. Having booked for 2 adults and 2 children on a half board basis in the restaurant we found out this didn't include the children at this point. Not a huge problem on its own but a surprise. There was a buffet starter option and 3 main courses on offer which were great, however my daughter aged 13 was disappointed she had to have this and wasn't allowed to order from the children menu which my 11 year old son was pleased to order from. She is 13 so arguably this is understandable but it was disappointing for her to have to wait (with the adults) over an hour for her main course to arrive whilst the children course arrived for the 11 year old almost immediately. In isolation none of these things would have been a big factor if it not for the fact we were ignored by the significant number of staff in the restaurant for long periods of time who seemed to find other things to occupy themselves with. Another couple we spoke to who joined later were having smiler issues with the service. There seemed no-one appropriate to speak to in the evening so we spoke to the reception staff on check out, the lady merely smiled at us and again offered no apology.

Un 4 étoiles qui n’en est plus un – très mauvais rapport qualité/prix Habitué des Novotel en France et à l’étranger et membre ALL, j’ai rarement vu un tel écart entre la catégorie affichée et la prestation réelle. Nous avions réservé deux chambres avec deux lits simples pour voyager avec nos deux enfants. Avant l’arrivée, j’essaie d’appeler pour demander des chambres communicantes ou proches : on décroche puis on raccroche. Au deuxième appel, le standard externe n’arrive lui-même pas à joindre l’hôtel. À l’arrivée : * une chambre a un lit double au lieu des deux lits simples réservés ; * les deux chambres sont à des extrémités différentes de l’hôtel ; * plusieurs lumières ne fonctionnent pas ; * serviette tachée, douche encrassée, moquette tachée ; * climatisation limitée dans son utilisation ; * Wi-Fi Premium ALL qui ne fonctionne pas correctement. Le lendemain matin, des mouches sur le buffet du petit-déjeuner. Mais le plus problématique reste la réaction de la réception. Le soir puis le matin, aucune réelle prise de responsabilité. On m’explique notamment que j’aurais dû appeler avant — précisément ce que j’avais essayé de faire — puis on tente de me présenter la chambre avec le lit double comme un « surclassement ». Une erreur peut arriver. Ici, c’est l’accumulation qui pose problème. L’impression générale est celle d’un hôtel qui se dégrade progressivement, avec des économies visibles sur l’entretien, les équipements et le service.

Déçu par ce Novotel du groupe ACCOR Chambre 1 lit double alors que 2 lits simples demandés, bouteille d’eau traînant sous les meubles et poubelle non vidé, oreillers dignes d’un ibis budget et enfin clim bloqué à 24 degrés pour des raisons écologiques, sauf qu’avec la canicule les chambres était à plus de 24. Bref j’avais choisi le Novotel pour plus de confort après un long trajet et j’ai mal dormi. Je ne conseille pas cet établissement
