Great place to stay and eat. Staff were friendly and the food was excellent. The pub downstairs has a very nice atmosphere. Lots of people dining which is always a good sign.

Very enjoyable stay. Very friendly staff, well equipped room and excellent breakfast. The hotel was full of character with lots of quirky rooms in the public areas, much more interesting than a modern featureless block. Hexham itself is also a very interesting city, with lots of small shops set in pleasant streets of quality architecture, crowned by the magnificent abbey church.

The hotel was very busy with Sunday lunches when we arrived but every member of staff was very helpful, polite and keen to speak. We got a free upgrade and the room was gorgeous with a seating area and dual aspect. Sunday lunch was amazing and we would highly recommend it. We had drinks in the bar later which were very comfortable. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and all very good quality. We would definitely stay here again.

No parking on site, but carparks walking distance. Great shops and restaurants a bit noisy as on a main road, staff helpful and friendly

Lovely hotel, nice greeting on arrival and parked right outside for free (it was a Sunday). We had room 6, good size, as was the bathroom & lots of coffee, tea etc. we ate in the hotel which was good and had a few drinks in there. The room was warm but it was during the hot weather and a fan had been provided. Good choice of breakfast as well. We loved it and would recommend it if you’re heading to Hexham!

Some hotels are dog tolerant but this hotel is truly dog friendly & they thought of everything to make our stay as great as possible. The bed & showers were better than some we’ve had in 5* hotels and the staff were all so nice & friendly, couldn’t do more for your you as guests. Will be back!
