We booked a king room which was a good sized room on the ground floor as requested. It had a large king bed and was bright and immaculately clean. There is a fridge with supplied still and sparkling water and milk plus teas and coffee. The spa and pool facilities are first class and the restaurant is good quality with the emphasis on healthily well cooked and prepared food. The staff were all so helpful , friendly and well presented. Excellent staff, would go again.

We enjoyed the indoor & outdoor pool and breakfast was excellent. The room was a good size with everything required for a pleasant stay. We didn’t dine here in the evening as the restaurant was fully booked but the menu wasn’t very good so we were happy to eat at The Cracking Crab in Polzeath. We found check in & check out times a little inconvenient for a hotel-room wasn’t ready until 4pm and checkout at 10am meant breakfast was rushed. Parking was tricky as the hotel was busy, EV chargers weren’t working and the shuttle bus was not available so we had to drive to Polzeath. Overall a pleasant stay but not quite perfect for the cost.

A great stay. Amenities, breakfast, staff, all great. However they could do with preparing better for hot spells. The rooms aren’t air conditioned and the fan really didn’t cut the mustard. The duvets were far too heavy for a regular summer night, so during a heatwave definitely unusable. Please consider lightweight duvets for summer months

Since this hotel is considered a resort, spending time in the pool is part of the enjoyment. You definitely had to keep moving when in the pool to keep warm.

Very overpriced. Room had no WiFi signal. No air conditioning. Breakfast was awful. Dried out from sitting under heat lamp. No baked beans?! No outside area to sit and enjoy a drink except down by the pool but pool bar closed so had to walk back up to hotel to get a drink. Furniture in bar area looked nice old and in need of replacing. Hotel in general looked like it needed some money spent on it. Looked tired and old. All in all not a good experience for £222 a night!
