Perfect dog friendly stay, lovely staff and great choice at breakfast. Dinner menu was also fantastic! Only gripe is that the bedding in rooms may need updating, very flat/lumpy pillows and found the stuffing coming out of them during the night. Would 100% be back to stay again :)

Expensive for a room for one night, but that’s down to location. Room in main building had an odd smell of sewage in the bathroom. There was a basic continental breakfast no cooked breakfast. It’s ok for a stop over but has so much potential if there was investment to be one of the most desired places to stay & eat.

The Vines is located in a beautiful, quiet village and made a convenient base for exploring the Cotswolds. The included hot breakfast was very good, the staff were friendly, and our room had a clean, modern bathroom. We also appreciated that our room had parking directly outside, making it very easy to unload luggage. There were a few practical drawbacks during our stay. The Wi-Fi was patchy, and although the room was comfortable and otherwise very clean, the carpet was noticeably stained. While the room was designed for cross-ventilation to help cool in the warmer weather, we often had to keep the windows closed because of exhaust fumes entering through the rear window and, at times, a sewage odour outside the front. It’s also worth noting that the pub serves only breakfast at this time, so you’ll need to drive elsewhere for lunch or dinner. Overall, we enjoyed the peaceful location, friendly service, and convenient access to the surrounding villages. While there are a few maintenance and comfort issues that could be improved, they would not prevent us from returning and we found it to be a good base for exploring the Cotswolds.
