For Labor Day, my husband and I took a little road trip to Idyllwild and stayed at Strawberry Creek Inn. At first, I accidentally booked at Idyllwild Inn, but Terry at the front desk kindly redirected us, it was just a quick 2–3 minute drive. We checked in around 5pm, and even though the office was closed, they left clear instructions and photos, which made it easy. The place is cozy, rustic, and charming, surrounded by pine trees. It really feels like a relaxing mountain getaway. The room didn’t have a microwave or refrigerator, but since we only stayed overnight, it wasn’t a problem, we brought a cooler for our food and drinks. They do provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap, hair dryer, and a TV. There’s also a jacuzzi, fireplace, and a cute trail where you might spot deer and squirrels.
Breakfast isn’t included, but restaurants are nearby. We left early the next morning and just left a voicemail since the office was closed; payment went through automatically with no issues. Overall, it was a peaceful, simple, and enjoyable stay. Perfect for a quick getaway in a cozy mountain town.
