The apartment was clean and ready for us, even with the sofa-bed already made. The owners communicated really well and provide guidance when needed, they were very friendly and professional. The restaurant in the first floor was a life saver on day one, good Spanish food. The small kitchen has all the basics to prepare a meal, or you can go out with plenty of options. You can watch from the balcony the people walking in the streets, the music from the places near by, caution there is plenty of noise and smoke outside, specially on Fridays. The location is great, you can literally walk everywhere from the apartment with plenty of places to eat, buy souvenirs, or get a taxi. If you are looking for a quiet place, this is not for you. But if you want to be where the action happens, then this is it. Hope to come back.

Great location if you have a short time in Madrid and you are interested in the Prado and good meals. The adjoining restaurant Casa San Juan has excellent oxtail and scallops. Communication happened both through the hotels.com app and WhatsApp and it was a bit confusing at first but once organized it was good. Appreciated that the washer/dryer had a functioning dryer ability, though the air conditioning didn't work as well as in other places we stayed this trip.

Absolutely great location, it is really in a strategic position. Communication with host great PRE arrival. Great apartment size. Once there, we have the 2 worst nights of our trip.... the A/C stopped working amid the heat wave that is hitting Europe. We tried to communicate with the host and to this day, me message is still unanswered. We had to open the main apartment door to try and have some air circulation. So we (the whole family) did not sleep the second night which was unbearable... If you are renting in Europe this summer, make sure the A/C is working...otherwise...you are no sleeping...
