Check-in at affiliated hotel down the road. No reception/staff on site, only service from restaurant staff (while open). Rooms feel new and are clean. Lots of wood in the building, which creates a nice atmosphere. At the same time, everything feels purely functional and not very "homey". There are large event spaces, so I would expect this to become much more busy and potentially loud when those are booked. We had a room under the roof, and the steep slope of the roof rendered half the (large) room and bathroom practically useless (half of the bathroom just was empty space). Breakfast was OK, given mostly processed or packaged foods being offered, it was almost surprising. Restaurant staff was helpful in providing hot water. No designated parking, but there is public parking in front of the hotel and we managed to find the one spot left on two occasions. Directly off a main road, so be mindful of valuables.
