The hotel sits on a top of an excellent restaurant. This is a fun and interesting location, and the gentleman who manages the restaurant doubles as a host for the hotel.

I loved staying here. The reception was extremely friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t recommend it for light sleepers, it’s a bit noisy, but that is the price you pay to stay in a historic hotel. The location was fabulous and service was excellent. I’d definitely stay here again

Very nice place in one of the best neighborhoods to stay. It’s close to everything, but still in a quiet and lovely area. Friendly staff and a really good deal. PS: If you have big or heavy luggage, ask about your room beforehand, as the stairs can be a bit tricky.

Thank you Calisto, once again, out stay was fantastic. The rooms were clean and nice. Your kind assistance with our luggage is greatly appreciated. This place is great when visiting Amsterdam, the voucher for the cafe opposite to the hotel provides you with a great cup of coffee and nice pastry. And please do not forget to make a reservation at the Calisto Restaurant, this was an amazing experience, the food was fantastic and the service was great. Trust the staff, they know their products 😊 The location is good too, easy to go anywhere and just outside the busy centre for a quiet night with a good sleep. And you get to experience a 17th century building All in all a fantastic experience, and will be going there again. Until next time ❤️

We checked into the Calisto Hotel at the restaurant below as instructed. The gentleman who served us was most helpful and polite. He carried our bags up the stairs and answered any questions. Our room was spacious with a king bed and large bright windows. We enjoyed 3 nights in Amsterdam finding the location to be excellent. We walked absolutely everywhere. There are lots of restaurants and shoppes conveniently located. The only drawbacks were the firmness of the bed and pillows. We found them to be much harder than we like. The shower, had a wonderful rainfall head, lots and pressure and hot water....however, it did not drain well, so ran over the edge of the shower onto the floor in rivers. We ate at the restaurant below the hotel twice in three days .... it was that good and they offer a discount to their hotel guests...a lovely gesture!

This hotel was in the most lovely neighbourhood, surrounded by cute shops and cafes, and right near the most scenic bridges and canal views. The restaurant underneath the hotel was amazing, I had such a wonderful meal there! All of the staff at Hotel Callisto were so kind, friendly and lovely. I loved my stay so much!

Cece was very helpful and accommodating. We really appreciated the free pastries/bread from the local coffee/bakery across the street. Coffee was best I’ve had, Hotel is right in city center next to so many different things to do. Will definitely come back!

Chose the hotel on pretty short notice securing the last room, because the hotel was near the areas I wanted to be at. Easy walk from Central Station in a lively neighborhood, with lots of shopping and food choices nearby. As already noted that there are no elevators and we were at the top floor with the last staircase is very Dutch and steep. Vouchers for coffee and two pastries per person were easy and decent.

Room spacious, clean and beautifully designed. Staircase up to the top floor is quite steep but you're rewarded with a spacious room, large bed and air-conditioning (very much needed if visiting during a heatwave). Area is perfect for both central Amsterdam and the beautiful Jordaan neighbourhood. Would absolutely recommend.

The staff was so lovely. They let me drop my bags off early and they brought them up to my room for me before I was even ready to check in. Gorgeous room. Loved the view out my window. So beautifully and thoughtfully designed. Would 100% stay again.

A wonderful location - close to the Central Station and all forms of public transportation. Surrounded by small cafes, incredible bistros and stores - Was on the top floor of hotel, bright and clean and enjoyed it's simplistic approach.
