We had a wonderful stay. The room was very comfortable, as was the bathroom, which had a retractable clothes line. Halfway through our trip, that was most welcome. Why don’t more hotels have those? Wonderful breakfast. Very helpful and informed staff. Great location. I would most definitely recommend the Avalon hotel.

This hotel is truly fabulous--I don't think I've ever enjoyed a stay more, which is saying something. From the mid century details to the excellent staff and incredible breakfast, I have no complaints. Centrally located, convenient to all of the public transit (which is amazing in Gothenburg), and great food options and shopping abound (not that I did much shopping but one could). I will be staying here again.

My expectations were really high and this hotel met them all. The room was fairly big and the bathroom was very big and we had a little terrace of our own. This hotel pays a lot of attention to detail & the staff is very friendly and professional. The breakfast was one of the best I have had at a hotel in my life and was open til 11:00. Super fast elevator instead of the usual slow motion on most hotels. I'll be back 😎👌

A very unique hotel in a central position. 10 minute walk from the train station. Friendly staff , very good breakfast. The bedroom was light and modern, very comfortable. Coffee machine and kettle . We were amazed with friendliness of the team (Millie, Nina and other beautiful guest service ladies), hospitality and attention to details. We were celebrating our anniversary and were so happy to receive a hand-written greetings card and sweet treats from the hotel, it made our special day really special! The hotel itself is a piece of art stuffed with unique art objects, paintings and iconic furniture. The Open Bath room facing the Saluhall is spacy, beds are comfortable, the jacuzzi bath is so much fun. Bvlgary cosmetics, wine glasses, ice from ice machine, a kettle, a towels dryer to dry your swimsuit, lovely slippers and bathrobes, 3 or 4 different pillows, fresh strawberries for breakfast, lovely little rooftop pool with the views - the hotel definitely exceeded our expectations! Thank you so much!
