We stayed in the annex, and it was brilliant. Large enough room with good lighting, excellent bathroom, aircon etc No problem with parking. Bit of noise occasionally from student houses nearby but we have all been young once! Very close to downtown, so this does mean proximity to people who are perhaps a little too keen on the drug culture, but it never felt unsafe, just something you need to be aware of if you are not coming from a large city. Obviously nothing to do with McGee's really... Breakfast decent enough. We had no complaints.

I'm often disappointed by refurbished older homes, but this was 5-star. Consistently even hot water in the shower, excellent air conditioning. Free street parking. 20 minute walk to Parliament Hill, 15 to ByWard Market. Full breakfast was pretty good, but not 'full English'. Rooms are all different and well appointed. Lots of quality period pieces.
