We enjoyed our stay, the Hotel is so close to the Cathedral, the park, food and caffes , and the girl and young man who helped us were so nice and welcoming, I didn’t get their names but was on Sunday 26 when we arrived.

Very nice room and excellent location. The only issue was the shower head that didn't let enough water through but everything else was perfect.

Pros: location, location , location! Cons: Not so great customer service and you have to request items daily because there is no proper restock.

Very nice staff. Room was clean, but could use some TLC - bathroom fixtures in rusted, busted condition. Main issue was that they not only did not offer a room upgrade (there were plenty available) or the 1 free beverage per stay as an Expedia platinum member at a VIP access hotel, but they didn't even put me in the premium room I paid for.... I tried to inquire at the front desk, and they were very nice, but they didn't understand even though I showed them the pictures and the reservation. Oh well, I paid an extra $50 for a premium room that I didn't get, and I wasn't offered the available perks for a VIP access hotel, but otherwise it was a good stay. I will, however, explore other options on my next visit.

If you want to experience real Mexico this is a great place. GREAT location. 1-1/2 blocks from the grand plaza. Charming old school center patio hotel, 24 hour desk, small pool but cool for a dip, breakfast on the patio included in our stay. Staff vey helpful and clean place. Awesome value. Lots of Mexican tourists there. We loved it!

The location is great. Hotel is nice and clean and the staff is very helpfull. I didn't test the pool but it looked nice. Good for a little dip on a hot day. I booked an Uxmal trip from the front desk and it was great price and amazing trip. The walkways in Merida are narrow and made with tiles so if you have luggage, maybe take a taxi from bus station even if it's only 10-15min walk.

Colonial property - our rooms was charming - 12ft ceiling! Vintage wood door. Spacious Excellent location for walking to historic centre and markets where THE LOCALS shop! Some of the staffn, although friendly, did not seem well-trained or knowledgeable. Breakfast was mediocre. Our room, although charming, was on the stairway to the front entrance that opens to the street, was very noisy at night. Although charming, you may prefer a room further back.

Excellent location and pool was fun. But front desk staff was not super friendly. Also no towels in one of our 2 rooms & had to ask and wait. 1 room in back was quiet but 1 was loud due to front road noise. Beds were hard & showers were cold in both rooms. No comfort ammenities like hand towels or extra towels, extra blankets, tissue, iron, fridge or coffee maker. Toilets needed 10 minutes between flushes to refill. Probably would not stay here again. 😞

Centrally Located Very Clean Hotel

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel HO. The room was cleaned everyday and the housekeepers were amazing. There is a nice, smallish pool on the grounds and free parking too. Centrally located between two parks on an excellent street in Historico Centro. Check in was a little difficult, initially being told we didn't have a room, although it was prepaid. Requesting additional towels or blankets from the front desk was pointless, as they kept forgetting, or lost the note they wrote to themselves as a reminder. Housekeeping finally took care of us, the front desk, not so much. The front desk also forgot to turn on our hot water so when we showered the first night, there was no hot water.

If you are on a budget this is a good option. You basically get what you pay for, the rooms are small, beds are ok, bathroom is ok, the hotel is clean. They don't provide hand towels in the bathroom, we didn't have hot water in the shower -it wasn't really an issue for us, since it the weather was terribly hot. There is no safe in the rooms, whrn we requested one, they provided it but stated that it couldn't be screwed/anchored to the wall, which it defeats the purpose of having it. It's located withing walking distance to many restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, pharmacies. This is not a hotel I would recommend unless it's your last resource.

First of all, we did not get the room which we booked online. They gave us a way darker and not as nice room. We were able to switch room, however it was still not the room from the pictures online. They stated they are all already booked and therefore not available. Quite annoying. Sure the second room was better but still smaller and not as comfortable. Anyway, on our third and fourth night, we finally got the room from the photos. Which was very nice. The service was a bit annoying as there was no service. Everytime we needed a pool towel we were sent back and forth from the reception to the housekeeping staff and back. Please just give us a damn towel - should not be that difficult. Breakfast was ok. All together, nice hotel, very convenient location but the "service" and the rooms need some updates.
