Excellent place to stay. We had more than we needed, everyone was super accommodating, and the hotel was in a great location. Next time I’m in Budapest I will be staying there again.

What a fantastic place to stay! The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was well appointed and the bed was so comfy. The location is perfect, just steps from the tram station, making it easy to get to all of the sights. I would highly recommend staying here. I hope to return to Budapest again and would not hesitate choosing this hotel!

We enjoyed our one night stay in a wonderfully located hotel. Our clean room with an amazing glass top roof was unique and a cool way to see over the city. It was also just out of the hustle and bustle of the city center which provided a quiet nights rest. The staff was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions.

8/10 Very good

The building is beautiful. The staff is very helpful. The shower was very nice. The main drawback is the lack of attention paid to the fact that people travel with some amount of stuff. This is mainly important only for anyone staying longer than two or three days. The lack of a closet or drawers in the room consigns you to have to keep rummaging around in your suitcase. The small countertop around the sink meant there was little room for two people to place toiletries like toothpaste and toothbrushes. A little more space to unpack to would have elevated the room from very good to excellent.

This hotel was very nice. The lobby area was cool and the rooms are nicer than in the picture. The rooms were the typical small European rooms but all accommodations were great and the hotel is close to the main area. Would highly recommend.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel itself is architecturally stunning and the rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. The location is ideal, with almost everything you would want to see within a 30 minute walk, and easy access to the tram and metro. My room was on the slightly smaller side, but really all anyone would need, especially as you’re just there to sleep. One thing to consider is that all the rooms face into the central courtyard (thus into everyone else’s windows) which means keeping the curtains closed most of the time for privacy. Again, not an issue for me as I spent most of the day out of the room, and was fine closing my curtains for the evening. I highly recommend booking the breakfast buffet - they had a generous, fresh and varied menu, which was the perfect start to a long day of walking. Also appreciate that they have a coffee machine available so you can grab a quick cappuccino. While I didn’t use the fitness facilities or the sauna, the amenity space was clean and modern and a nice perk of the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

We could not have been happier with the Oktogon hotel. Perfect location. Close to the metro underground and the fabulous tram and bus system. We purchased the 3 day metro pass as soon as we arrived. We went every where using the public transportation system. It’s an absolutely lovely hotel.
