We had a wonderful stay, so much better, a marked difference than when we stayed 6months ago. The hotel and grounds were lovely and other than struggling with the shower settings this time it was very good.

We stayed here for our anniversary following a recommendation and had a largely positive experience. The location is beautiful, everywhere was spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly. Both breakfast and the evening meal were also very good. Our only disappointments were that our anniversary wasn't acknowledged despite informing the hotel and restaurant in advance and a bathroom smell meant we had to change rooms. The staff moved us quickly but the second room lacked the romantic feel of our original choice. It is a lovely place and we would return but a few small details could be improved.

great work trip, we stayed two nights.
The pool and saunas were crowded though, and the dressing rooms to the pool a bit dirty.
But the rooms and hotel area in general was flawless, and the location with great views was a great experience.
Very helpful staff!

Very fine room but hot summer conditions made the temperature too warm for comfort. Although a fan was provided it did little to help. The price paid one would expect air conditioning in this day and age. The food in the South Bank Bar/Bistro was lovely as were the staff. Breakfast was very good. It was disappointing that charges at the leisure club could not be charged to our room account - a small point. All in all it was a very nice stay.

We had a wonderful stay at **The Grand Hotel in Malahide**. The location is absolutely fantastic — right on the waterfront and just a short walk from the centre of Malahide, with its great selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. It’s also an excellent location if you’re travelling through Dublin Airport.
The hotel itself is beautiful, full of character and extremely comfortable. Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and after a long day of travelling it was exactly what we needed.
Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and everything fresh and well prepared. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, professional and welcoming.
The only real negative for us was the **lack of air conditioning in the room**. We happened to stay during unusually warm weather, and the room became quite hot overnight. A/C would definitely have made the stay more comfortable.
Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The combination of the beautiful location, comfortable accommodation, excellent breakfast and easy access to Malahide makes The Grand Hotel somewhere we would happily stay again.

We were delighted to be back again in the Grand Hotel - the renovations have made such a massive difference to the quality of a stay there. From the beautiful bedrooms to the gorgeous lobby (which really is Grand now!) to the delicious food, everything is 5 stars!
Whether it is to celebrate a Big Birthday (we brought our family there for my 70th) or a cosy 24 hour break for ourselves, the Grand is a winner!

I literally happened upon this property in a beautiful coastal suburb, Malahide, right outside of Dublin. I had never heard of Malahide, but a lovely Irish woman suggested I stay at the Grand Hotel for my last night in Dublin. It was a fantastic tip. The hotel gave me the peacefulness and calm I needed before my flight home to Los Angeles. The village it is in is just beautiful with tons of restaurants and the famous Gibney's bar. I'd come back again anytime. Also, my hotel room was recently renovated and it made a world of difference.
