It's a nice hotel with an idea, not a sterile one. The room might look a bit used, but I understood all "imperfections" as the style. It's a historical building, so the floors are a bit uneven. I could also imagine a bigger variety of food for breakfast, but it really didn't make my stay bad :)

Excellent basic hotel as the name implies. As a solo traveler this was perfect. Small, comfortable room, convenient to the Gothic Quarter, Barcoloneta (beach area) and the Metro at Jaume to connect you everywhere else. The local in El Born is great and puts you steps away from shopping, food and lovely strolls. Good price for the location and comfort. Front desk was very friendly and helpful, especially arranging my transportation to the airport early in the morning.
