We were disappointed with our stay and do not believe this hotel deserves its five-star rating. Upon arrival, we were met by numerous private taxi drivers outside the entrance who were freely approaching guests. This created an unprofessional first impression and should not be tolerated at a luxury hotel. Our room was on the 22nd floor, and accessing the pool required changing elevators, which was inconvenient. The minibar/refrigerator was broken throughout our stay despite being reported. We also experienced plumbing issues, including constant water-dripping noises from the pipes and a leaking hose in the bathroom. Although water was replenished daily, it appeared to be refilled tap water rather than sealed bottled water. We also requested an iron, which was only delivered on the third day after multiple reminders. The most disappointing aspect was the service at Malibu Café on the top floor. Mocktails were served only half-filled, requests for extra ice were declined, and when lunch was served, no cutlery was provided. We had to visit the bar ourselves to request it. The only positives were the beautiful pool area with its stunning views and the hotel's central location. Overall, the service, particularly at Malibu Café, fell far below the standards expected of a five-star hotel.
