Whilst Hotel Verdi is just three star rated, it was more comfortable, cleaner, less damaged and better appointed than some of our other stays along this journey. Beds and fit-out were good. Bathroom and shower were great. There was no safe. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Access to the old town centre and night spots was excellent.

the room was very aged and tired, the bathroom room was very tight and aged too. The staff were lovely and friendly and breakfast was served from the cafe which is attached to the hotel - 1 crossiant,1 yogurt,1 peice of fruit and 1 coffee - which was lovely.

The staff were wonderful and the cafe at the entrance quite good and obviously very convenient. The room was comfortable and we liked the location, with easy walking distance to the river and restaurants (try La Ghiotteria, a recommendation from the staff). On the downside, while the room was air conditioned it seemed to have been locked to not cool as much as we would have liked during our very hot stay (presumably an energy efficiency measure). Further, the shower was very small with a clingy curtain. These negatives were minor and overall we would recommend Hotel Verdi to others.

Our family stayed for 6-nights in hot July. Overall happy. A/C working. Fridge. Comfy bed's. Quiet. Cleanliness above normal. Housekeeping every day. Staff was great! The pre-paid breakfast was of high quality. But.. we had to custom pick every item over the counter every day. Some items was included, others not. And this changed a bit from day to day regarding of who served us, and the items in stock. So it was a bit complicated especially with 2 kids, the language barrier, and all the noises from people. But it worked out somehow. We used this hotel as a base to visit nearby cities and beaches by train and bus. Pisa is a very walkable city and a fairly good hub for exploring Toscana. Hotel is not too far away from public transport. And we even walked to the Airport from it, not missing the Pisa-mover at all. Worked out great. And the Hotel did withstand the 4,3 Earthquake so it's solid enough. That Major incident surely seasoned our stay. Hotel recommended!
