6/10 Good

A great traditional hotel, with pleasant, helpful staff. Easy access and free parking. Also, it's close to Stone, which is a lovely little market town. Lots of pleasant walks nearby. Unfortunately, there is now a payment of £50 required on arrival, (refunded at end of stay), and a charge for gym towels, both of these charges are new, and don't add to the feelgood factor. Otherwise a lovely hotel for an overnight or longer break.

We've stayed here several times now and always enjoyed our stays. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the bar and restaurants offer a good range of food and drink and the wife particularly enjoys taking a dip in the indoor pool. Staff are friendly and efficient. Already looking forward to our next stay

4/10 Fair

No air con in the room just a very noisy fan and a window that hardly opened meaning it was very uncomfortable to sleep in the room. Got woken up by the fire alarm going off in the hotel at around 9.30am and all had to leave the hotel, no explanation as to why it went off, just told to go back in the hotel. No offer of compensation like a later check out or anything. Staff are nice, especially the cleaners. Probably would’ve been a nice stay in the winter with no fire alarm as a wake up call.
