Fine for one night

The separate bedroom was a plus. The beds were meh. The place could use a deep clean. No air movement except for the window air conditioner in the bedroom so it was stuffy and muggy. The outdoor pool was good. The room could use more wall hooks or furniture/shelves so you can put things. The microwave and fridge were fine.

Nice place, good location. Had a pet so likely got one of the worst rooms there (smelled bad). Talked to other neighbours who were very happy with their rooms so if I come back again I’d likely come without the dog.

Room was reflective of the price. Though it was comfortable and suited our needs, our room was not at what we thought it would be. The pictures online showed renovated rooms with a fresh look. Though there were rooms freshly renovated, ours was not. I guess that’s why I got the discounted price. Staff were friendly and there was a fire pit in the common area with wood provided. Though the pool was empty (early spring) it looked clean and could have been enjoyed had it been a hot summers day. I chose this motel because I thought I was getting a nice room for a discounted price. It was a nice area with quite a few choices for restaurants. But that wasn’t what I was thinking of when I saw the room pictures.

The new owner is constantly upgrading the property. The room had a well appointed kitchenette, everything that might be needed. The location is perfect. Great access to the highways, but not on the actual highway. Easy walking distance to the town, the lakefront, the visitor centre and the grocery store. It was quite cool and rainy when I arrived and the pool had already been closed for the season (September 18.23) but the owner's plan is to keep it open and heated further into the season for next year. I believe that he is also going to add a hot tub. The grounds are very well kept. The owner, Rakesh, is helpful and engaging. I had a wonderful stay.

First room was infested with bugs. Next room no toilet paper, Kleenex, phone, wash clothes. After I changed rooms they gave the bug room to somebody else!
