Booked a room with a ‘fully equipped’ kitchen - it had nothing in the cupboards and reception refused to provide any kettle, cups etc as advertised so couldn’t even make a cup of tea! Left jacket in wardrobe but housekeeping didn’t hand it in and reception not helpful - wouldn’t even check with staff or room. Beds hard with 1 flat pillow Doors bang when they close all night Reception only knew ‘it’s not possible’ to anything asked of them and customer service terrible. Pool snack bar not manned - only drinks available in day is vending machines Hotel is just soul less and really nothing in the vicinity of the hotel to do - bar Portaventura. Pros - free shuttle bus, breakfast is fab as are the dining room staff, room was decent size.

Very nice hotel, although more like a 3*. We had the apartment for 4 adults which was quite large, although not as advertised since our room had 2 double beds, instead of the double bed a bunk bed / two single beds shown in the photos. The breakfast is decent but the coffee machines are really old, slow and unpredictable. It's coffee roulette as sometimes a perfect cup of coffee is produced, whereas sometimes it's a few drops of dishwater in the bottom of the cup. Not a problem for me personality, but worth noting there is no hot chocolate available. The food choices were varied and all tasty, although sometimes could be cold.

Barely a 3-star hotel

Checkin was ok, staff is multilingual We didn’t use the paid parking as you can park outside Lift wasn’t working on our arrival, our bedroom was at the fourth floor!!! Our bedroom was flooded, it was raining very badly so we requested another one and had to go downstairs again (no lift, remember?) Change was quick In the second bedroom, the stovetop wasn’t working, the furniture and bathroom were outdated and we had only two towels for 4 guests. There was a dishwashing kit, very useful. Spa facilities are very outdated too but massage was great, the sauna wasn’t working. The lift wasn’t working again so we had to go through the service stairs to get to our bedroom. Access to the pool is 8€ for the whole stay. Breakfast at the restaurant was ok but could be better, on the second morning the microwave and the toasters weren’t working either. Pool table wasn’t working in the reading room, sliding doors of the main entrance were out of service too. The hotel is close to PortAventura, Tarragona and Salou, so very well located but deserve a full revamp and complete refurbishment. Too many things weren’t working even if the price was affordable. We always book 4-star hotels but this one was by far the most disappointing and doesn’t deserve this ranking.
