We were just staying at the hotel one night before our early flight and Van Der Valk has to be one of the best airport hotels I’ve stayed at. The staff was excellent, the shuttle service to the airport was punctual and so kind! Also, the restaurant at the hotel was delicious. It was a perfect meal to have the night before an 11 hr flight home. My husband literally dreamed about the chicken Caesar salad sandwich the next day lol

The hotel is conveniently close to the airport and while the rooms were well appointed and clean, the beds were not comfortable. As you enter the hotel, there is a reception area, a bar and a restaurant in a wide open glassed in space with very high ceilings. As a result, it is quite noisy and though it looks great, dining there was not pleasant. Also we had conflicting information from staff and the hotel website about the shuttle to the airport which was not appreciated. At first we were told to book ahead, then we were told to just show up and line up as the shuttle could only take 6 people at a time. It left on the half hour so you can see how that would have worked if a number of people were waiting for it. A nice enough hotel but we weren’t happy with our stay.

We have a very pleasant experience at this hotel. From the moment we arrived to our checked out the staff was very kind and friendly. Our room was amazing very clean and comfortable.
