The staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly . The room was clean and the bed really comfortable. With paper thin walls…. Quiet street at night. The bathroom/toilet/shower was tiny, I mean extremely super super tiny… Unfortunately our room was just above the smoking area and we couldn’t open the window when someone was smoking below. It was perfect for just two nights. Breakfast area is really small , but the quantity and quality of the food was good.

Room was tidy and neat, the shower room was on the small side, and I couldn't really move around in it (best suited from slim builds), though perfect for a short stay. The bathroom was so small I had to sit on the toilet sideways because my legs couldnt fit if I sat forwards. I had to leave the bathroom door open to stand in front of the sink comfortably. I am not particularly tall or large. The bathroom just was that tiny. Several things were broken in the room e.g the toilet seat and the safe but no one came to fix these. They have an ant problem in the rooms coming out from old holes in the wall. We changed rooms but had ants in the next room as well. There is also a serious lack of sockets in the rooms so we had to choose between charging our phones or using the fan (there is no ac) Before travelling we tried to contact the hotel several times through the app and email. Hotels.com even emailed them on our behalf but we never got a single response. The location also wasnt as great as we thought it would be and we ended up spending a lot on taxis. The cleaners did a good job and the staff were friendly but that's about it

A perfect base for discovering the city

The hotel is in the center of Paris, which makes it a perfect base for discovering the city. The rooms are simple but sufficient. The staff is super friendly and helpful wherever we had any question. Our room was in the back yard, or "terrace", which made the hot temperatures at night a bit more bearable (our room didn't have an AC, but a quiet, yet powerful enough fan was supplied).

Decent location, it was our last stay before our flight after two weeks in Europe. I have to be honest though I feel bad not giving a great rating that this hotel did not live up to cleanliness standards with blood on one wall and stains on sheets , and there was lots of noise from outside and inside the hotel which did make it hard to sleep. I was glad it was a shorter stay, the location was good and maybe some could overlook those things or get a different room for a longer stay and staff could address the late night hallway noises( slamming and yelling)

Although I was a little hesitant to book this hotel after reading some negative reviews, I wanted to share my experience in case it helps other travelers. If you’re an American visiting Europe for the first time, this hotel might be a bit of a culture shock and may not meet your expectations. European hotels, especially those in older buildings, are often much smaller than what many Americans are used to. If you’ve never stayed in a traditional European-style property before, it’s important to keep that in mind. For me, it was exactly what I needed. As a solo traveler, I found it clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the basic necessities. That said, the hotel is quite compact. The elevator is very small, and the shower space is limited, so travelers who are on the thicker side may not feel comfortable. I had a very large bag and it was very tight for me in the elevator. However, if you’re traveling light, don’t mind walking to public transportation, and are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay, I think this hotel is a great option. The staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay, which made a big difference. And it smells of fresh baked croissants in the morning! Considering the price, I felt the hotel did an excellent job. Overall, I had a positive experience and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely staff members, polite. Continental breakfast is limited to two cereals, yogurt, & bread options, with drink choices of tea or coffee although orange & water are supposedly available just not filled up. Room was tiny which is perfect for those just wanting a place to rest, however it was almost impossible to move to wipe when using the toilet, and the shower is a small square also so unfortunately that did let it down a bit. The walls were also a little thin, you can hear other doors being shut and walking around movement from the stairs and other bedrooms also.
