We didn’t even go in, the blinds were broken, the place doesn’t look like the picture, a bunch of shady characters hanging around outside, it did not look safe, and we are not fussy people.

An old building that has been renovated and is quite fine. Great location to get to activities and services in that area of Toronto.

This is more than a hotel, it's also some kind of refuge with sometimes rough looking folks. While some people may be scared to stay in such a place, we were in and out of the place at times of the day and night and it was safe when we were there.
This hotel just felt how I felt Toronto was. Looks rough but is nice.
The hotel staff is beyond nice, the hotel is near enough to the city centre for that to be its second best asset.
The rooms could do with some TLC, sometimes you can smell some fait scent of cigarette coming from the vent and the A/C is very loud but it's a fairly neutral sound.
One of the things that make the hotel very attractive is its price. And I think the location/prica ratio was pretty much the best when we booked for what we needed to do in Toronto.

Stayed there before. Conveniently located near Toronto Western Hospital. They have made significant efforts to keep the hotel in decent shape. A big homeless encampment in the park next to it. Would stay there again due to location.

Great 2-star hotel for a short stay in downtown Toronto. Affordable on a tight budget. Friendly staff, easy walking distance to shops, cafe's, etc. Easy to drive to, and has a small parking lot on-site for $15/d. Comfy bed, and small kitchen space if you're self-catering.
Reception is not obvious at first glance, it has a separate exterior door with a buzzer.

Hotel has been renovated since we last stayed here.
As budget hotels go it is very good- convenient to Queen st, Bathurst and Dundas to the north.
Plenty of local eateries, but you also get a kitchen in your room if you want to cook!

My family only stayed one night and it was very convenient as it was a walkable distance of the CN tower and other attractions. If you are looking for a place to sleep, this hotel is for you.

Decent basic accommodation in what appears to be a uni dorm conversion. Good access to surrounding areas. A little sketchy area immediately around the building but its inner city so one can’t expect much more for the price. Although the price is a little steep for this place.
