Very convenient location and wonderful staff

The hotel is affordable. It is in a central location close to banks, super market and 2 malls. The staff were very helpful. The dinner menu can have a bit more variety to choose from though.

Imperial Express offers comfort in the heart of the CBD with numerous places to eat close by.It is affordable with a high end feel.I will definitely stay at the hotel again during my next visit to Kisumu. However, investing in sound proof windows might come in handy due to the hustle and bustle of the central business district.

Room very clean and great staff. I just didn't like the fact they do not have orange juice with breakfast.

The room was very clean, and the staff were amazing, starting with the security officer outside. He greeted us on arrival and offered to take our suitcases inside. Three areas of improvement include a larger lobby, adding a bar for those who wish to relax with a drink, and providing parking for the guests.

I loved everything about this hotel. It was conveniently located. I felt safe walking around the city. The hotel was immaculate. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. Breakfast was more than adequate. The bed was very comfortable. I will stay there again and highly recommend it to others.

The staff, including Judith at the Reception, Evans, the chef, and the security team, were exceptionally hospitable and professional, ensuring a delightful stay with freshly prepared meals. The rooms, meticulously maintained by the housekeeping team, are both clean and well-appointed, making them perfect for both business and leisure travelers. Additionally, the soundproof windows provide a serene environment, even for rooms facing the bustling Oginga Odinga Street. I highly recommend this venue to both returning and first-time guests visiting the lakeside city of Kisumu.

Kisumu ber!

Everything about my stay at the Imperial Hotel Express was wonderful. Nestled in the middle of everything, this property is extremely convenient to anyone visiting Kisumu. Everything I needed to take care of was within 3 blocks. Staff are always available to answer questions and provide assistance. Security is ever present at the front door. Breakfast is good. Room TV wasn't great (only 8 stations!) and I was told there were no other stations available although the menu lists about 300 satellite stations. No biggie, because the nightclub around the corner was hopping. Would definitely stay here again.
