This hotel is right in the heart of Reykavik, a great location for visting the old city parts, nearby neaighborhoods, and the water front. Lots of restaurants, bars, cafes etc. nearby. The breakfast and the cafe part of the hotel seemed great too. the room itself was truly tiny, and the attached bathroom same. It all worked fine, but do not expect much room for the very reasonable price in Reykavik.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Accommodation is comfortable and the bistro on the first floor is very good. The Staff are all friendly and helpful. I had what i thought was a dead phone and a gentleman at the front desk tracked a place where i could get it repaired. Staff did not tire of providing directions. Highly recommend!

Great QUIET location close enough to walk to bars and restaurants, but far enough away that you can sleep with the window open without being disturbed by noise from the bars or the Main Street. Rooms are cosy and affordable. Breakfast was really affordable (about $16 US, other hotels charged $46 US). I would stay here again!

The staff was wonderful and the rooms were great. The issues I had was related to communication. Hotels.com stated offsite parking was available. I did not understand that they meant parking on the street and paying at the meter or parking for free a few blocks away in the neighborhood. Additionally, I was told that washers and dryers were available at the hotel.I did not realize this meant a laundry service as opposed to self service laundry. So when arriving in the afternoon and departing the next day, there was no opportunity to do laundry on-site.

Location very convenient to old harbor end of Reykjavik, and within walking distance of other big sights. Nice neighborhood for walking around in. Hotel staff very friendly. Convenient restaurant and bar on premises. Room very compact with somewhat inconvenient spaces to put luggage etc. Nice shower with very nice high end Icelandic herb shampoo, conditioner and soap. The room was spotless, the blackout curtains impressive for the long summer nights. The staff was very courteous. The only issue I have is that I asked for 2 separate beds as I was traveling with my adult son. We got one bed that was like 2 mattresses together. We managed but really would have preferred that my request for 2 beds be honored. The room was not big enough for us to separate the mattresses. Lots of restaurants nearby and easy access to buses.

We arrived quite early and were greeted by friendly staff who did offer us the option of an early check in, as the room was ready, but for an additional fee. (If the room is already made up, this could have been waived). We passed on that and they were happy to look after our bags while we explored the harbour area. The room was good and the breakfast choice was excellent. Happy hour at the bar was also really good, with friendly and attentive staff. All round, an excellent hotel and location, with the town centre just a few mins walk away. Would stay again.
