Once you get your head around that there is no reception, and you don't see any staff (my whole communication was through the hotel App and via WhatsApp), the hotel is actually quite good for the price. Central location near Checkpoint Charlie, a spacious and quiet (sound-proofed?) room with a very good bed/mattress, a small kitchen unit and a coffee/teamaker.

The Numa Hotel Checkpoint Charlie has a lot going for it—namely a truly fantastic location and a very nice building. The room itself was nicely designed and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. ​Unfortunately, the hotel completely failed on basic cleanliness and customer service. Upon checking in, we found the carpet in our room to be incredibly dirty. There was also an extra single bed taking up space that we didn't need. ​We contacted the staff to ask for the carpet to be cleaned and the extra bed to be removed. They initially offered us a room change, but because we were only staying for a short time, we didn't want the hassle of packing up and moving. We reiterated our request for the cleaning and the bed removal, and we were explicitly assured that both would be taken care of. ​Nobody ever came. The bed was left in the room, the carpet remained filthy, and the hotel provided absolutely zero follow-up communication to check if the situation had been resolved. ​It is incredibly frustrating to be made a promise by hotel management only to be completely ignored. A nice building and a great location cannot make up for a lack of basic follow-through but overall we enjoyed our stay. Berlin is fantastic and kept us positive even with the poor response from the hotel. We still slept well which is the main thing.

Great apartment, great position.

Great place to stay. Really near underground station so easy to get everywhere (although also only a 20 minute walk to the Brandenburg Gate). Great facilities in hotel - able to prepare our own breakfasts and meals (there’s a Lidl nearby). Case storage, drink making facilities and loo’s available on day of departure until 20:00 a brilliant bonus.

Room was clean but odd stains on the carpet , the water was out one of the days , the alarm went off another day . The dryer in the basement took over 2 hours to dry some clothing . This sounds like all bad things however the room itself was nice and spacious . No English t v at all which is fine no need for t v on vacation . The bathroom was lovely . I would come back even with the slight bumps in the road

Good room - communication could be better

Good stay and the room it self was great. It is self service and you let yourself in with a PIN code. Arrived in Germany before receiving PIN code would have been happier with having the PIN code in advance. Missing BBC World on TV - only 6 German channels available. No security latch on door. Friendly cleaners.

It was a great place to stay. Excellent location and the facilities were mostly really great. Only a couple of issues. The bathroom needs a vent. It’s like a sauna. It would be good to have housekeeping on at least one day to get fresh towels etc. we also had a lot of noise from construction on the last morning that was very inconvenient at 0715 am.
