The room was okay, but certainly not worth the high price. There was a strong stench of cigarette smoke in the corridor that seeped into the room. The toilet flush button was completely broken and remained unfixed throughout our stay. The staff did not offer any help with luggage during check-in, which I didn’t mind. However, at checkout, I waited five minutes for the elevator before having to carry all my luggage down from the third floor myself. Once downstairs, I discovered that the elevator door had been blocked open. When I asked reception about it, standing there with my hands full of luggage, they simply said “Oh” and went to remove the obstruction. There was no apology or offer to help. The hotel is also on a narrow, crowded street with bikes parked on both sides, making access by car and parking difficult. For the price charged, I expected better maintenance, service, and basic courtesy.
