I like old school motels and even better when run by a national chain, or so I thought. My key card kept acting up, to the point I was afraid I’d lock myself out, and that’s after having the clerk redo it. Very friendly at the front desk. But the room, a refrigerator that didn’t get very cold and with no freezer compartment. Not a big problem in the winter but 90 degrees in May, different story. The tv remote would not work and there was a rhythmic knocking noise in the bathroom area. No idea what causes it but it never stopped. If the tv is on or other background noise you can’t hear it but at 5:30 am when your trying to go back to sleep, there it is. So for a motel run by Best Western I was very disappointed.
