6/10 Good

16-20 Oct '26 At Schlussel The room was clean when I arrived and everything in order. BUT the room was not cleaned at all over my whole 4 night, 5 day stay. I had some food in my room, and tried to clean up as best I could but it really needed a proper power clean. Towels were clean, shower clean. The LOCATION was excellent being just stones throw from Bridge and station and boats. Enjoyed my stay.

8/10 Very good

A clean room but flimsy pillows that collapsed. No light blankets available, only a duvet. A very comfortable bed

We loved our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and the best part of the hotel is its location. It is close to all public transportation and the lake. The staff was very helpful and nice. I would strongly recommend this property for a comfortable stay in Lucerne.

The hotel location is one of my highlights I can walk at dawn and it is in the heart of the city. The staff is awesome very kind very hospitable, our bed is like so soft so relaxing. Really an experience I was looking for with my husband.

We loved staying at Hotel Schlüssel. Great location- walkable to shops, restaurants, bus, train and boats! It was especially nice to have the complimentary beverages. Our only regret was the restaurant was not open on Sunday and Monday. But our desserts on Saturday were delicious.

Fantastic location. Self check in, no staff present. No fridge in room but a hallway fridge with waters, soda, beers , and a coffee machine. Great coffee shop right in the square. The Chapeau

Great location, clean room, lovely balcony overlooking the square. Didn’t see any staff due to self check-in so didn’t know about visitor pass until a helpful lady at KKL told us about it (gives small discounts on some activities).

6/10 Good

No staff, self check-in. Bathroom walls needed washing. Only 1 hand towel. Theres a coffee machine on the 3rd floor that we found on our 3rd day (some signage pointing us to it would have saved us a 10 minute walk every mor ing for coffee). Bed was good, location was great.

10/10 Exceptional

An excellent property with central location to trains and busses but also in the heart of old town. Rooms are generously spatious and a sweet addition from the hosts is a free mini bar for coffee and light refreshment (beer, coke, water). Highly recommend!
