Oetisk kött med tung klimatpåverkan

Snyggt hotell och serviceminded personal MEN att inte servera svensk kött på restaurang sänker betyget rejält. Det serverades nötkött från Sydamerika och lamm från Nya Zeeland! Amazonas regnskogar avskogas för att ge betesmark och foderproduktion. Feedlots används där fodret ”kryddas” med antibiotika i tillväxtbefrämjande syfte. Även om man inte känner något för djuren så har väl ingen missat diskussionen om global uppvärmning: Frakta kött från andra sidan jorden med frysfrakt…det blir ett rejält koldioxidutsläpp! Vi åt svensk kött både på Olarsgården (hade även en del lokalproducerat) och i Sälenstugan. Kocken där sa att ”finns inte i hans värld att köpa utländska ”. Ni kan åtminstone ha svensk kött att erbjuda på menyn.

Mysigt hotell med familjär känsla

Trevligt familjärt hotell, rent och fräscht med mysig inredning på såväl hotellrummet som allmänna ytor. Bra frukostbuffé med allt man kan önska. Bra komponerad à la carte meny som tyvärr inte nådde upp till förväntan i smaker, bra kompositioner/råvaror men genomgående för lite sälta och kryddning på varmrättens (oxfilé S&T, Torskrygg och lamm). Förrätten smakade utmärkt (sniglar samt löjrom)! Bra läge nära knapplift på andra sidan vägen, för anslutning till skidsystemet. Praktiskt med skidförråd i källarplanet. Mysig Loungedel på övervåningen. Ett mysigt hotell med bra läge som vi kan rekommendera!
