The hotel itself is nice. The lobby is lovely and the staff is wonderful. We had a King Suite. I called to request a third floor room and was told we would have one, but upon arrival we were placed in a room on the second floor, so a little confused by that disconnect.
The room itself was nice and the bed was quite comfortable, but we disliked the square pillows on the bed. We also liked having the desk and the couch. It was annoying that when guests were talking outside in the front of the hotel, that their voices carried to our room that was on the side of the hotel.
Breakfast and parking was included which was nice, but also expected when you pay high rates with $380 for a Saturday night. We went out the whole first day and came back to a room that was not made up. We returned a second day to beds unmade and an unclean bathroom. I questioned it at the front desk and was told that we have to hang out the slip saying we want service. WHAT?!?!? For the rates that are charged the room should be cleaned EVERY DAY! The nice man who assisted me explained that since covid this is for "safety reasons". Let's be real. Covid was five years ago. We all know now that germs are not spread through touch DNA and staff can wear masks and gloves to protect guests. This is just laziness and cheapness on the part of management.
