Very nice hotel, rooms very modern, spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to Rock of Gibraltar by foot and several restaurants on the water. Breakfast was very good compared to other hotels we stayed in our travel this time.

I do not recommend them at all.

Breakfast was awful. Staff were not refilling the empty trays. Very limited option, low quality produce. Whole fruit were like ages old left in the dish. No fresh coffee. If it was a complimentary breakfast it c9uld be a so so but considering the charge definitely did not worth it at all. Cleanness might look ok at first glance, but the more you pay attention will figure out underlayer dirtiness and corners cuts in cleaning. No napkin in the bathroom. The rooms we were given(had 2 rooms) were far worse than those shown in the pictures.

Great staff, poor conditions

The staff I came across were all lovely and friendly, they even checked me in early and found me a charger as I forogt my adaptor. The rating is more for the room and condition of the hotel. Bathroom tiles were cracked and metal bits were hanging off the wall,flooring was really old and faded. I stayed here 10years ago and it looked better then. It was so noisy I could hear my neighbours talking and every morning at 6am the people above me were dragging furniture around. When someone showered or went to the toilet in the next door room you could hear that, but I have to say the room was clean.

Really friendly and helpful staff The hotel is about 20 minutes walk to the border with Gibraltar so very handy. The breakfast was enormous and kept me going. The room was spotless and had a beautiful view over the rock. Pool was still cloed as it wasn't quite yet in season so can't comment on that. Overall i'd definitely recommend.

This is an economical Marriott, very good deal. Breakfast was great. Complementary items are a very nice touch. Found it annoying though that the room temp can’t exceed 21.5oC, other than that was perfect. It’s misleading to say it has a pool, pool is closed.

Easy check in late at night with a friendly staff member. The room was clean, but tired. Paint peeling in the bathrrom and generally in need of a refresh. We were only there for one night so didn't get chance to see the facilities or eat in the restaurant. Parking is great though with very narrow spaces!

11 night stay for New Year

Initally allocated room 320 which has a very small balcony and only 1 chair and was also noisy due to air conditioning unit in room 318. As we were staying for 11 nights we asked to move room but had to wait 4 nights as there was limited room availability due to unadvised renovation work in the hotel. However once moved everything was ok and we enjoyed our stay. The addition of a coffee maker in the room was much appreciated. We have stayed many times and will return and would recommend to others. Television in room says that it has CNN and BBC world news but unable to view either channel.

We were here to visit Gibraltar and with the high cost of hotels across the boarder opted to stay in LaLinea. This hotel was selected for their affiliation with Marriot, and after staying with them I am very surprised that they are able to maintain the affiliation. The rooms were very basic, walls were dirty, trim was damaged, dust bunnies in the corners, and the highly fragrant cleaning solutions made our eyes water they were so strong. We had to open the window for several hours to air out the room, which resulted in mosquitoes in our room since there are no screens. The bedding and towels at least seemed to be clean. However I suspect that it used to be a smoking room because once the strong cleaner smell was gone there was a whiff of tobacco present - particularly in the dingy curtains. Parking was not included with our room, and was a high daily fee. We needed up street parking in an area that does not seem to be all that nice. Would not come back here and plan to let my friend that works at Marriot corporate know about our poor experience. Pay the extra to stay in Gibraltar proper, you won’t regret it.

This property looks better from the outside. Reception is very nice and though small, efficient and the staff are friendly. The reception looks fresh and newer. Dining area has limited hours. Open for breakfast but they start cleaning up at 10. It does not open again until 8 pm. There is a small lift. The rooms open with a key, and raises concerns about security. The room itself is perfunctory, but several lights need replacing. AC was pretty good. Extra comforter in the closet. The bathroom looks large but in reality is quite small. The toilet and bidet are opposite each other and directly in front of the shower entrance. Water goes everywhere from the shower and the glass partition wall isn’t big enough to stop the spray from the shower. There is one hook on the wall for the bath towel, and this is the only place to hang your towel. There are 2 big empty walls, which would be good for more towel hooks or a towel bar. This hotel is very noisy, the walls are thin and conversations from the hallway or other rooms are easily heard. The pool area is a bit sad. There is astroturf, loungers and tables and chairs, but there has been no care taken to make this place warm and inviting. Unlike other Marriotts, there is no bar area and you need to bring your towel from the room. Don’t get me wrong, this hotel was OK, but I wouldn’t stay here again. Not when there are other places that exude charm.

Fantastic place ! We had a balcony and view of the water and the rock of Gibralter. We didn’t have breakfast there but it was offered for a few. there is a small fridge and coffee maker in the room and a small elevator perfect for luggage. About 20-25 minute walk to the border or 5-10 by car. super comfy bed and clean w. c.
