Great and responsive staff.

Check in went exceptionally smoothly and the gentleman attending the desk was efficient and friendly. I had some trouble opening the room window and he, without hesitation, came up and helped. The bed was very comfortable and after a day of traveling, was very appreciated. If I'm coming through Carson City again, I would love to stay at this good priced and well situated Hotel.

Would Stay Here Again

I'd stay here again. It's a nice hotel and the room was clean and comfortable. The Hardman House was a bit dingy, but it's totally fine and the staff was friendly. We paid an additional $50 for a pet. Not sure how we missed that when we set up the room because we look specifically for pet-friendly rooms when booking.

A wonderful place to stay and great people

All around great. Comfortable, clean and spacious rooms at a great price. Bonus the people are friendly, helpful and wonderful. I travel a lot and this was a rare treat and surprise. Not just a good deal, but a very nice place so I highly recommend this as the option when in Carson City or a stop on your way to Tahoe, like we did.

We needed a room at a livable price that was clean and safe and that is what we got! The room was really large and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk folks were very nice! The elevator needs updating for sure! The continental breakfast leaves something to be desired as well, but the location, cleanliness of the room and great attitude of the staff made it all good! Thanks!

Nice place to stay. Good value for the area. Good continental breakfast. 2 downsides; 1. They charge your credit card 2 days before arrival. 2. The front desk people need to be more customer friendly.

Skip this one

Heat was stuck on in middle of summer. It was nearly 90 at night. Checked out and did not stay the week I scheduled. Photos were misleading, looked like a cute comfy boutique hotel, was extremely dated, faded, and worn out.

here is a note taken after the stay: hardman hotel: RM#208 squeaking ceiling broken flaucet/ no shower allowed carpet ripped in corridor notice on carpet “apologizing” silver curtain ripped notice on local residents forbidden only one kid staff no local repair worker old window old central air elevator screaming dripping water heard in elevator garage uncleaned notice on water cut off

The room was nice and clean and the carpet looked new. It was quiet all around which is a big plus. Walking distance to restaurants and museums. Our room had a pretty strong smell of fresh paint, no refrigerator, and only one set of towels so I had to bug the front desk a couple of times.

This is a hotel we will not stay at again. We could not get air-conditioning to work, hot all night. Ice machine, lamp, did not work. Extension cords hooked up allover the room. Coffee pot in room but no sugar or creamer offered.

It looked good from the outside but the inside was pretty run down. Our room was ok but the sheets and blanket hand not been changed in the pullout bed for our son and had to change it ourselves. Super hard pillows. And the worst part was no air conditioning. Very dissatisfied.

Very clean and well kept properly. It shows some age with noisy HVAC and a lousy mattress. I slept on the floor as it was more comfortable. Breakfast was included although due to low volume of customers, the spread was limited.

Great historic hotel, highly recommend

Loved this hotel, it's not like every other hotel, rooms mostly looking alike, it is unique. The room was huge, the bed is a regular bed though, squeaky. Complaints about the carpet are greatly unfounded, they are going to update it, but it is clean and not bad looking. They are currently renovating the upstairs rooms, but it did not affect our stay. Great little historic hotel, I recommend it.

Been traveling for 2 months and the was my second worse night stay in a hotel room. The air conditioner didn’t work and it was in the nineties outside. The elevator was very scaring as it had a sudden jolt when stopping at each floor plus sounded like it could breakdown any minute. The staff was very slow and not real friendly.
