Heating was the only real complaint that I had with the stay....it took a while for the heater (electric heat) to warm up the room. The room was clean but did smell like old cigarette smoke. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. Convenient to local amenities.

My room had been recently remodeled and looked really good. Spectacularly clean! It's a simple room, bed, table & 2 chairs, dresser an a big TV. Bathroom was also totally clean and water pressure was decent. When I checked in the Manager/owner (?) offered extra towels (which I didn't need). Coupon for $10 breakfast at Wimpy's was WELL worth using! The server welcomed the voucher, offered tomato slices when I declined the home fries, and the breakfast was good. Regular menu price was $18. After breakfast I went back to the motel parking to use the wifi, where the manager returned to me my earring that I didn't even know I was missing! He'd wrapped it in a tissue, clearly set aside for me. Here's the drawback that lowered my rating to 3 stars: the odor. The room still smells like an OLD motel room, which of course it is. I'm not sure there's any way for them to get that smell out of the walls.

The manager was extremely helpful and friendly. He made sure we had everything we needed and there was no issues every time we ran into him. Room was newly renovated with clean and spacious layout. While not over the top with amenities it is a clean and quiet place to base your excursions from. There is several food and convenience businesses located within a short walk. They are also conveniently located just off the 401. Will definitely stay here again.

This is an old motel with stories to tell I'm sure. It still looks rough in places but the inn keeper told us renovations were under way. Only a 5 minute drive to downtown and ample parking right off the highway with lots of food options right across the street. It was clean and we felt safe for our 2 night stay. Our only issue was the TV as the remote was not programmed to work with it and there were no instructions. I'm a bit tech. minded and found the manual buttons at the back; after that we were OK. So if you are willing to forgive the rough edges it was a good place.
