The room was clean and the beds, pillows and linens were all super comfortable. The buffet breakfast each morning was especially great and the staff was very attentive to guests needs. We found them all helpful and friendly. Our only complaint was the shower, as it was a challenge not to get water covering the floor, and the towels were scratchy and thin.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The room had everything you needed, was a good size, well presented and quiet. The location is the best thing about this hotel. It is very close to Tivoli Gardens, the train station and many bars, restaurants and shopping. The rooms are in need of updating/re-design. There was a very uncomfortable looking stone bathtub in the area with the bed which just got in the way. The bed was comfortable and the linens were nice.

The location was ideal for Tivoli and where our tour started. The hotel offers laundry service which was awesome and a good price. There is no air conditioning but they do provide a fan and can give you an extra one which made it fine. We do recommend the hotel invest in black out curtains as even at night the sun is out (or be sure to pack sleep masks).

We have stayed at the hotel two times previously and found it’s location excellent, the staff professional, and the breakfast great. BUT… this time, a Saturday night, our room face the street side, across from a pub. The shouting and singing was horrible. We were told by the reception that it would be noisy until 10 pm which is fine for us. BUT: at 0:2:15 I contacted the reception again because we simply could still not get to sleep. There is no AC, so on hot nights like ours was, it was unbearable. I wrote to the hotel demanding compensation since we could only sleep 4 hours. As yet no reply.

Stayed one night before and after corporate event. Nice original hotel with funny and unique details and furniture. Different from crisp modern design hotels with the same look and feel. Som eco-friendly vibe. Breakfast was nice but a little bit pricy for relatively little variety. Special coffee cost extra and my children would have been disappointed, with no pancakes or similar sweet stuff. Otherwise nice continental breakfast. Checkin from 16.00 and checkout at 12.00 was a little bit narrow. 2 hours delayed checkout was available but cost 600 DKK although I am gold member on hotels.com, so I let the time.

This hotel was really solidly positive experience, with its unique Bali-inspired atmosphere, excellent food in the restaurant, friendly staff, creative and generous breakfast and well decorated room. How did they manage to get so much out of this relatively small hotel? We did not try anything of the Spa facilities as we had our dog with us. Highly recommended.

My stay at Axel Guldsmeden was overall very enjoyable. Check-in was quick and easy, and the rooms had a cozy atmosphere with a nice, unique vibe. However, the cleanliness could have been slightly better. The hotel offers a great selection of amenities, including body oil, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The room itself was well-equipped with everything you might need, such as a kettle, TV, and a safe. The spa was a real highlight, excellent value for money and often quite empty, making it perfect for relaxing. It includes everything from a sauna and steam room to a jacuzzi and infrared sauna. A nice extra touch was the complimentary coffee scrub, mud mask, and even a peanut mix to enjoy while relaxing on the sunbeds. Breakfast was delicious, with most, if not all, items being organic. There was a wide selection, from scrambled eggs and crispy bacon to juices and ginger shots. One thing to note is that it can get quite crowded on weekends. Some guests had to sit outside in the garden, where it was a bit chilly in the morning, so it’s best to arrive early to secure a table indoors. The hotel also has a gym, which is a great bonus. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available, either in person or via the phone in the room. Location wise, the hotel is very central, within walking distance of the main train station, metro stops, a nearby supermarket, and tivoli gardens. A great stay with a relaxing atmosphere with just minor room for improvement.

The breakfast was great but I wish it was had a bit more Danish offerings. The staff were nice and welcoming. My room did not have a small refrigerator, which would have been nice. Also there is no AC but that is pretty common for Northern European hotels. I happened to be there during a heat wave and it was hot. The room had a ceiling fan and the hotel provided a fan as well. I love how the hotel is personable and sends texts to guests regarding events. Many thanks!

Good: The hotel is perfectly situated, very close to the central train station. The garden area is very cosy. Poor: The breakfast was not worth the money. Few electrical sockets in room. No air conditioning in room despite hotel advertising differently. There was a heat wave during my stay- the hotel could have supplied water bottles to room to make up for lack of fan.
