The rooms we're large and showing their age, paint peeling off the ceiling above the bath, and The quilt cover had a tear in it. There are no usb charges on the socket in the rooms, but the reception has power banks for a charge. The breakfast was very good and buffet style. I found The staff were very helpful and friendly.

We stayed here last year and the place was amazing. Whilst the staff were great and very accommodating, the hotel is definitely in need of some TLC. The jacuzzi (which was one of the reasons why we booked the place) has not been working for 8 months. The steam room wasn’t working properly. The bathroom door was coming off its hinges (this was repaired after our request). The window frame in our room was not secure. Evening meal was good but unfortunately breakfast was minimal and cold. The view out of the restaurant window was not great. It could have been filled with flowers or suitable shrubbery. Instead it was overgrown and had rat traps on display!! Very disappointing, considering it had been a beautiful hotel a year ago.

A birthday treat for my daughter and I. The rooms are tired and the shower in the bath was awful. I know it’s unusually hot at the moment but the room was like a sauna! We asked for another fan but to no avail. Desk staff not at all helpful and welcoming. Spa staff were lovely and we had a very enjoyable massage with a really lovely lady. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and helpful.

don’t stay here. rooms were dated and unclean wallpaper peeling off the walls. spa was mostly redundant jacuzzi broken steam room/sauna not working properly. The chef walked out and the bar closed early there were tables of filthy glasses and old rubbish everywhere. we were overcharged and are still trying to get our refund

Tired, old hotel which is clearly not being maintained. Lift was out of service in March 26 and still same in late July when I gave it a second try. Rooms have no aircon, staff don’t care and don’t think ahead - no fridges in the rooms, barely useful fans. It’s a heatwave in the area and they didn’t think to have a stock of bottled water in the bar fridge.

Hotel rooms are a little dated, reception area clean and welcoming. Stayed during the recent heat wave and be warned the rooms (at least the two i stayed in) have no AC and are stupidly warm, was a desk fan in the room that was 15 years old (had a PAT sticker showing year of first test) the fan was loud and very dusty. Small fridge in room which is convenient They have two EV chargers. Just have to download an App (of course!!) The good thing about the hotel and why i stayed and will probably again is the decent gym and pool, without these definitely wouldn't stay again otherwise Can't comment on the restaurant as I never used it but looks ok

Reception staff got my booking mixed up after several disagreements they finally agreed to a solution - room was spacious although but dirty , furniture filthy and tired dust everywhere could have done with a good clean and freshen up. No air con in the room and recent heat wave made room really uncomfortable-it was like a sweat box although air con available at reception. Didn’t get the chance to use the spa/pool so can’t comment . Breakfast mediocre - staff not really friendly and difficult to communicate with. Told the bar would be open to guests but actually had set open times. Won’t be stopping there again.

Lift "Out of Order", Jacuzzi "Out of Order", Chef "Out of Order". This is not a 4 star hotel, they seem to be struggling to maintain it and staff it sufficiently. After waiting one hour ten minutes for our food, two out of three meals were awful; dry, tasteless and covered in red chillies to disguise them. Most staff were lovely, they have a tough job there though.
