Although this was just a hostel, we expected a basic standard of cleanliness and comfort. We noticed quite a lot of hair on the beds, which we assumed may have been from the cleaning staff, since the beds appeared neatly made and didn’t look like they had been used.
The biggest issue was the bathroom faucet, which wasn’t draining properly. It was the only sink we could use, and we had to report the problem three times before any action was taken. Unfortunately, we had to deal with it overnight because the technician wasn’t scheduled to arrive until 9:00 a.m., and even then, it wasn’t fixed immediately. The clog was so severe that when we washed our faces, the water splashed back up from the sink.
We also asked if we could leave a room key for someone to pick up later, but our request was immediately declined without any alternative solution.
Thankfully, it was only a two-night stay for an event. We actually live in Copenhagen and had booked the hostel hoping for a relaxing experience since all the hotels were fully booked that weekend. Unfortunately, our stay did not meet our expectations.
