Room was clean, food in restaurant was good ,staff was friendly,lights in room 220 where I stayed I had no main light,so made it very dull and dark,need better lighting. Room was very cold but heater was good enough to warm it. Parking is free if you stay weekends,but cost £10 week day's 24hours seems unfair overall a good stay

Good location, great service, staff brilliant. Only downside very squeaky door that slammed when other residents went to their room (308 on wards) .. So a good bit of interrupted sleep-nothing abit ofWD40 and door closer adjustment wouldn't fix. Would book again

Reception very friendly, room was exactly as pictured when booking, clean and had ironing board & iron in room without having to ask. Parking is charged as an extra (£10pn). Signage for room directions in corridors was scarce so night was continually disturbed with people outside in the corridor talking due to not knowing which way room was through the night. Doors are not soft close so doors slamming also. Fire alarms went off between 4-5am was not a restful sleep for work. Ate in the restaurant for dinner & breakfast both nice, tasty food, staff friendly & polite. Sustainable lighting and washing products were very nice.

The regency itself is going through a refit and this is our second visit.we stayed in a newly refurbished Double/Double room. The beds are comfortable and the room was a great size. If there was a niggle or more of a hindrance was the fact there are no hooks or shelf space in the bathroom for towels or clothes. That was a small thing but one to be noted however all the staff from reception to bar to breakfast were absolutely brilliant. The food was great and we thought was very reasonable considering a hotel. Overall a great hotel and we will be back.

The hotel has recently been refurbished, and we thought they still are working on some areas, the welcome at reception was good but when it came to finding our room it was more than a little difficult, really could have done with a member of staff guiding us, the corridors were dimly light and the room numbers did not run concurrently, in fact our room did not have any signs guiding you to it at all, the room was okay but didn't have a luggage stand was small and the lighting was dim, the bed was comfortable but small, the dinner was good but the self service breakfast cool and the eggs and black pudding were rubbery, sorry but the experience was a bit of a let down and although the location was perfect for us and we will be returning to the area again,we won't be staying at the regency hotel, they may think about changing the name as it's certainly not regal 😞

No air conditioning at all in the hotel, which was a killer on the hottest week in UK history. Food and drinks were good apart from the dirty pint glasses. Overall, ok.
