Stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was absolutely amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and beautiful and the atmosphere of the castle setting and all of its historical pieces made it that much more memorable. We will definitely be returning, especially to see our favourite breakfast manager Leandro Silva.

6/10 Good

On the face of it, a very nice and grand property, but you can see the ‘cracks’ appearing - not great staff and no real pleasantries, flaky paint and mould around the shower. Great bed, but pillows very hard. OK place for the money, but with a grand place like this, it needs to improve

This hotel is amazing. Very classic building. Build around an ancient castle. The rooms were clean. The staff was amazing, attentive, and very friendly. Breakfast is a standout. The bar was fantastic. I have nothing but good to say about our stay here. We will be coming back. Absolutely.!

Very convenient overnight stop over before a ferry crossing to UK. The meal in Fahrenheit restaurant was very good. Room comfortable but small and only enough room to open one suitcase.
