Excellent location with easy access to public transportation and late‑night dining options. The owner is very accommodating and provides clear guidance on local attractions and how to reach them, along with thoughtful suggestions on where to go.

Once again an amazing stay here with Felix, our host. What a sweetheart! Definitely recommend. Easy to get to S Bahn or U Bahn, Tram and bus. Clean, safe and warm! Thank you Felix!

6/10 Good

The room was really warm but there was no A/C in the room when the outside weather was reaching 30 degrees or more. There was one fan but it was dusty, and opening windows didn’t help with cooling down the temperature of the room. The staff was friendly and very understandable when we explained our situation and decided to cancel our stay earlier.

Newly renovated, very warm apartment, very clean, huge bathroom and a lovely, helpful, chatty host! Would only loved to have a washing machine and somewhere to hang clothes for longer stays. And maybe a door for the sleeping area. And a sponge for cleaning dishes. Otherwise would definitely stay here again!

Parking is free but limited number of spaces. It is very close to U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations. There are food and grocery nearby. The room is just ok.

Super friendly, clinically clean. Room is basic but that’s fine. Parking is convenient on site, and walking to train for travel to major sites is simple. Great stay!

Perfect hotel to rest and to reach the center. In 20 minutes of public transport you will be in the center of the city. Comfortable beds, nice rooms. The staff is very kind and ready to support you to visit the city. Nice price and really suggested

Close to train station and town. Helpful and kind owners. Comfortable bed. Very clean and quiet. For us, a portable fan to move the air would have been nice for a humid evening.

Staff was very polite and let us know good spots to see around the city. The property is right next to a transit hub making getting around the city very easy. The blanket they provided was small and the floors weren't carpeted, which was strange for us.

4/10 Fair

Disappointing experience

The hotel is conveniently located within a 15 minute ride by rain to city center. Check-in is smooth, hotel is clean and self-parking works well. BUT, the bed had terrible sheets (probably a high ratio of polyester or smth) and the room smelled of paint. We had no choice but to keep the window open but that meant it was too noisy to sleep. We must have only slept for 3-4 hours. Disappointing experience.

The people who run this establishment are soooo welcoming and kind. Our room was perfect for one night. Just a few steps away from the Moosach public transit train station, good food options (Los Companeros was AWESOME), and felt so safe and residential. The hotel is also conviently located two stops away from a MEGA shopping centre (Olympia mall that is connected to the train station!) The blinds were motorized so that was very cool! We felt the hallways had a strong odour (paint? Chemicals? Not sure) but thankfully our room had no weird smell and the air felt fresh. The room was very quiet. The shower was great with a hand held shower head (only one setting but it was perfect for us). They provide a 3 in 1 gel soap (hand soap, body wash and shampoo) that smelled light and nice. This is NOT a high end luxury place, but for the price we paid, we really cannot ask for more!! Super satisfied, I wish the owners success. Thank you so much.

We stayed at the hotel for our honeymoon. Absolutely brilliant. The owners are very kind, accommodating. They helped us with the suitcases when we checked in and answered our questions and provided us with recommendations on where to visit. When we arrived to the room there were rose petals neatly spread on the bed, and towels folded into flowers and hearts. There were even chocolates and wine left on the table. Incredibly special. The owners also provided us with a breakfast menu which we could select and be sent to our room at anytime in the morning. This was useful as we had booked tours with an early start. Everything was absolutely delicious and freshly prepared. I would highly recommend the German and the French breakfast options. They even messaged us during the day to check if we wanted the same options and time for the next day. If It had any downsides at all, I would say that there wasn’t air conditioning in the room, but there was a strong fan stored in the cupboard. The windows in Germany can’t be opened all the way so we couldn’t get much fresh air into the room. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ludwig and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a short / romantic stay.
