On arrival, they told me that their systems were down. This meant a less than smooth check-in experience. The room didn't have a remote control for the television, requiring me to go to reception to ask for one. They said the duty manager would bring it up. After waiting 40 minutes, I had to ask again. Eventually the duty manager brought the remote control. This wasted an hour of my time. Based on signage in the hotel, it seems that the duty manager performs every task and other staff are unable or not allowed to do much. Half board was included in the room rate but due to the system problems, neither reception nor the restaurant provided much clarity on this. The pizza I had was not restaurant quality.
