We loved our 4 day stay at this quaint and quirky hotel. Danish charm surrounds you in the dining area, the bar, the common spaces and in the individually decorated rooms. The location was quiet, but close enough to restaurants and bars to still feel like you're in the city.

Great location and really great traditional charm. It's easy to get to the metro and to some of the must see spots along the canal. The downstairs room is huge and comfortable, but the rooms can be a bit more updated or have a bit more amenities. There is no AC, but they provide fans. It can still be a bit too warm if you're visiting during the summer. The beds could be better as well to make the stay more comfortable.

Kanalhuset is a very special and aesthetically beautiful place located in a lovely setting in a charming neighborhood set on the canals. (It’s a lovely walk or bike ride to Copenhagen Contemporary and Fredericksberg and other parts of Copenhagen.)As a guest I was grateful to be part of a community with a truly thoughtful, welcoming and kind team. Each evening, the social dinner was a highlight with stellar food and the opportunity to make new friends and learn about others. (Neighborhood residents also come to the dinner-which is very special). My room was beautiful spacious and very comfortable Breakfast was also wonderful and there are many activities. The owners also own Absalon (i didn’t get to visit) yet there are table tennis, dancing etc.
